The Accord Cases
Accord Cases are handmade in Croatia- the ultimate in lightweight carbonfibre instrument cases. Their hallmark is the 3-D look, where the carbon weave can be seen through the outer coat, and the various colour shades are random, making no 2 cases exactly alike- They can also do virtually any solid colour, provided it is listed in the International (RAL) paint code list, as used for vehicle manufacturers. All colours cost the same, except for metallic silver, which is extra, or individual customized artwork, which can be quoted for at the time of order. The Cases: The cases come in various strength/weight options, from Ultralight, through Standard ( 'Superlight' ), Hybrid ( 'Special' ), then the Robust ( 'Superstrong') to finally the Flight ( 'Flight Reinforced' ). Not all models are available in all strength / weights. Check each type page for specific info on any case.

The interior of the cases is designed to act as a suspension system for the instruments- Adjustable pads ensure that the instrument floats inside the case, and in the specific instance of cello cases, the Fiedler cushion packs take this aspect to a very precise degree indeed. We at SoundPost can provide these cushion packs, and fit them free, but we must have the cello in our workshop to do this. The Fiedler 'option' must be specified in advance, so as Accord can line to case to suit this option. Otherwise, the standard Accord adjustable cushions will be provided. Accord case linings are chemically neutral, and ecologically manufactured. The closed cell system ensures high thermal isolation.
