Fiedler Options for Cello cases

SoundPost is a retailer only of all Fiedler products, trade / dealer prices not available. We will fit the packs at no fitting charge to any case we supply, and we do usually hold all items in stock.

  • Backpack-the ultimate in adjustable back pack systems which can be fitted to almost any cello case, or any other case for that matter. Fully adjustable, and removeable apart from the mounting plate, padded back cushion, and also incorprates an endpin holder. The cushion can be removed to be used as a seat. Sheet music can be stored in the zipped pouch on the cushion. Ideal for carrying the case on long walks, it can be mounted to suit the height of the player- We will need your height before fitting. Can be supplied as packs only for D.I.Y. or dealer fitting. It takes about an hour to fit.
  • Hipbelt: Attaches to backpack assembly, in palce of the padded back cushion, and moves most weight from shouders to the hips, which some may find preferable. In stock
  • DeLuxe Cushion for Backpack: Replaces the standrard cushion same design but more padding. In stock
  • Music Pocket: Clips onto backpack assembly- in stock.
  • Cello Case Feet: Carbon shaped feet, (4) fits onto all Accord cello cases, which makes the cases more stable when standing upright. Best fitted at SoundPost, but can be fitted DIY, in stock.
  • Cushion Packs: These packs are fully adjustable, and can be set to securely 'float' the cello inside the case- The cases are not lined as for the standard Accord cushions, so this option needs to be specified when ordering. Some 'Fiedler option' cases are held in stock.
  • Bow Clamp: This magnetic bow clamp allows single-handed opening/closing, useful when holding an open case, and a cello and then needing to remove bow- easily installed. Most cello cases can take 2.
  • Berlin Endpin: Held in stock. Enhances tone, elimnates wolf notes, tuneable, fits any 10 mm cone. Bender Carbon endpins also in stock.
  • Sans Souci flight cover: Carbon fibre, fold down to suitcase size when not in use, wheels, will fit all Accord Cello Cases. In stock, to rent on a weekly basis, ( subjecy to availability), or for outright purchase.
  • Fitting: All Fiedler items can be supplied as DIY fiting kits, or can be fitted here at SoundPost. Your dealer may make an additional charge to fit these items, we fit for you if you purchase the case directly from us, with no further fitting charge.

    • Accord Cases are handmade in Croatia- the ultimate in lightweight carbonfibre instrument cases. SoundPost are the UK distributors for these cases, and we will continue to offer them retail as well, as we have been doing since 1997 when Accord was founded. However, we welcome dealer enqiries . We invite you to visit the Accord website, linked above, for all information on their products. As the UK Distributors, we offer full back-up on the cases supplied by us, as well as being able to supply and fit the many other options available. Custom artwork can be commissioned, have a look at Accord's gallery, linked above, for some ideas of their work. For special commissions, a non-refundable deposit will be taken at the time of placing the order. Prices are not quoted on this website- It is up to each retailer to set their own price- We will supply each dealer with a trade price list, available only to 'bona-fide' trade customers.

    The Cases: The cases are often 'bespoke', and being hand-made, no two are exactly alike. For some models, esp. the cello cases, various shell sizes are offered to ensure a good fit for your cello. We already hold a stock of cases, to ensure next day delivery in the UK, but over the next few months this stock will expand to cover most of the range. We also offer the Fiedler extras available for these cases, i.e. the stabilizing feet, the backpacks, special cushion packs, the special bow holders, and flight covers.
