The Accord Cases
Terms of Trade
Prices: The cases are made in Croatia, and priced at source in Euros, and exchange rates vary. We reserve the right to alter any price to reflect these currency fluctuations at any time without notice. For this reason, we will quote on enquiry for any Accord case in Euros, with the rate of exchange applying at the time an order is placed. We will try however to indicate this where possible, but it is not possible to update this entire website to reflect currency fluctations as they happen. While we try to maintain stable pricing as far as possible, please check before purchase to make sure the price you see is in fact the price currently in effect. The rate of exchange is calculated on invoice date, at the current commercial rate as given by the bank, (which are not always the same as the published 'tourist rates' of exchange).
VAT (Sales Tax) and Export: We are happy to ship anyhwere in the world. Our prices include UK VAT at the current rate. However, if you are purchasing from a non-EU country, VAT can be zero-rated. To calculate the VAT discount, multiply the total price shown by 7, and divide by 47, this will give you the amount of VAT you can deduct. We ship using the best courier for any particular country, usually DHL, FedEx, or Parcelforce, at cost. If you are inside the EU and VAT registered, we can supply inside the EU at zero rate in certain circumstances.
Payment: For retail customers, payment is taken in advance, either via credit card, PayPal, or electronic transfer. Cheques accepted, but must be allowed to clear before items will be sent out. Items paid for by card will only be delivered to the card-holders' registered address. Exisiting account holders can order items, on either 7 day payment terms, or 30 days in special cases. No surcharge is made for credit card purchases up to £1000, over that amount there will be a card surcharge of 2.6%. Any bank / conversion charges for payments made in a foreign currency must be paid for by the purchaser. All items remain the property of SoundPost until paid for in full.
Accord's prices: When obtaining a price directly from Accord, remember please their prices are ex-works Pula. There is import duty from Croatia into the EU, and there is also VAT to pay, plus the freight via courier to the UK- there is also an additional charge levied by the couriers to process the importation, and our dealer prices ( and retail prices) have all these additional costs built in. Our prices do not include delivery in the UK.
Payment: For trade customers, dealer price lists will be made available, after proof of 'bona-fides' dealer status is established. For new or unknown enquires, we will ask for 2 trade references, and banking details, and VAT number and if possible business registration information. Existing account holders can order items, on either 7 day payment terms, or 30 days in special cases. Delivery: Cases are sent via courier, charged at our cost price. Packing is free. Delivery is extra, and not included in the price advertised. Typical prices are for most UK mainland addresses, £7.95 for Violin or Viola cases, £13.95 for Guitar cases and £18.95 for Cello cases. Bass cases quoted for on request. For remote addresses, there may be an additional charge- please check when ordering to get the correct price for your area.
Special orders: Trade: For custom or non-standard orders, a 35% deposit (non -refundable) will be taken to place the order , for trade customers.
Retail: For private retail customers, the full payment in advance will be taken to place special orders.
Accord's lead time is usually 55 working days, we will do our best to speed up your order.

Accord Cases are handmade in Croatia- the ultimate in lightweight carbonfibre instrument cases. SoundPost are the UK distributors for these cases, and we will continue to offer them retail as well, as we have been doing since 1997 when Accord was founded. However, we welcome dealer enqiries . We invite you to visit the Accord website, linked above, for all information on their products. As the UK Distributors, we offer full back-up on the cases supplied by us, as well as being able to supply and fit the many other options available. Custom artwork can be commissioned, have a look at Accord's gallery, linked above, for some ideas of their work. For special commissions, a non-refundable deposit will be taken at the time of placing the order. Prices are not quoted on this website- It is up to each retailer to set their own price- We will supply each dealer with a trade price list, available only to 'bona-fide' trade customers.
The Cases: The cases are often 'bespoke', and being hand-made, no two are exactly alike. For some models, esp. the cello cases, various shell sizes are offered to ensure a good fit for your cello. We already hold a stock of cases, to ensure next day delivery in the UK, but over the next few months this stock will expand to cover most of the range. We also offer the Fiedler extras available for these cases, i.e. the stabilizing feet, the backpacks, special cushion packs, the special bow holders, and flight covers.
